Google Chrome 33 Review

Chrome continues to be a leader among browsers in terms of interface design, speed, and functionality. But with the competition from Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Opera getting stronger on all these measures, outperforming Chrome on multiple benchmarks, and implementing innovative features and standards support, the dominant search company's lead is narrowing. That's not to say Chrome isn't evolving: Google has added capabilities aplenty to its browser over the last few versions, such as voice search and desktop Web apps. And Chrome still surpasses other popular Windows Web browsers in some speed measures and in new standards support. If you're very concerned with privacy, Chrome isn't the browser for you: The first thing you see when you install it is a Google login page, and that means data collection. Chrome also trails other browsers in powerful privacy features, such as Internet Explorer's Tracking Protection.
Recent Changes:                                                                           Version 33 of Chrome only addresses security and stability issues, despite expectations from the beta version that it would include support for Google Now notifications for Android users. It also takes away a couple of options. In particular, you can no longer re-open closed tabs from the new-tab page or even choose a new-tab page other than Google's big search box. Another dubious change is that the Windows 8 version of Chrome now can supplant the modern tablet IE version, though it discards "metro" design standards and lacks touch-friendly input capability. You may never see this option even if you run Chrome in Windows 8, however, since it doesn't support high-resolution displays. (It didn't work on a Surface Pro I tried it with.)
Since my last review (of Chrome 31), the browser has also gotten a helpful "noisy tab" feature, which displays a little speaker-with-sound waves icon on any tab that's playing music. This is very useful if you have a lot of tabs open and don't know which one is blaring that annoying heavy metal.
The default home page (and new-tab page) for the browser now features a big Google search box (even though you can search right from the address box), along with thumbnails for your most frequented websites. (Oddly, after I deleted my browser history, these most frequent sites remained, which doesn't sound like history-clearing to me.) A colorful grid on the left opens your Web apps, and a dropdown grid now offers other Google services like YouTube and Gmail.
One nifty feature is Chrome's ability to let you search by voice; this comes courtesy of WebRTC support, which lets webpages use your microphone and webcam without the need for plugins like Adobe Flash. I could simply tap the microphone icon and say something and have the words and search results instantly appear on the page. Another really cool demo of WebRTC, which first appeared in the Opera browser, is the Webcam Toy Web app, which applies nifty effect to live video from your webcam. Here's how voice search looks:
Just be aware that anything you say isn't just displayed on your screen, it's also stored on Google's servers, and the company even has technology that identifies individual voices.
Another recent capability of interest is that Chrome now lets you run Web apps you get in its Web store—outside the borders of the browser. Opera offered similar "widgets" years ago, but subsequently abandoned them. The Chrome version lets you install a toolbar button that opens a grid of all your "installed" apps:
Installation:
Even the setup process shows Chrome's commitment to speed: Just click the Install button on the Chrome webpage, and you'll have the browser up and running in less than a minute, with no wizard to go through and no system restart. The browser's available for Mac OS X and Linux, as well as Windows—all recent versions of Windows, back to XP. That's something the latest versions of Internet Explorer can't claim, since they only run on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1. Chrome updates itself automatically in the background, but extensions aren't silently updated. This protects users from unwanted extensions installing themselves, but it also means updates you want will be less hands-free.
On Windows, Chrome now uses an unusual installation method. Rather than the typical download and run installer process, it uses its own white dialog boxes. It also sets Chrome as your default browser—by default.
When you first run Chrome, the whole page will be about signing into a Google account, but fear not, you can simply open a new tab and close that one. This doesn't change the behavior of the browser, but it does raise more concerns about browser-activity tracking. On the plus side, it does give you the benefit of being able to sync your different browser settings and bookmarks on different computers (more on this later).
Built-in Flash and PDF Support:
Chrome was the first browser to come with Adobe Flash built in, rather than requiring a separate (and annoying) installation. Now Opera includes Flash, too, since that browser uses all of Chrome's underlying page-rendering code. Not having to perform the frequent required updates of the Flash plugin separately is a huge boon—it updates automatically with the browser. Many of the security issues with Flash are gone, too, thanks to Chrome's running the plugin in an isolated sandbox so that it doesn't have access to critical system areas.
Chrome boasts a PDF reader as well, so you don't have to worry about installing any Adobe plugins for viewing specialized Web content. When you load a PDF, an intuitive toolbar shows when your mouse cursor is in the southeast vicinity of the browser window. From this, you can have the document fill the width of the window, show a full page, or zoom in and out. By default, you can select text for cutting and pasting, but I couldn't copy and paste images. You can print the PDF as you would any webpage.
Interface:
Chrome started the trend of paring down the browser interface to the bare minimum. All the other major browsers have followed suit, to the point that a minimalist interface can no longer be seen as a competitive advantage in Chrome. In fact, Internet Explorer actually uses less "chrome"—the developer's term for window borders and other interface elements—than Chrome does. All the major browsers share with Chrome the characteristic of having just a single menu button to access settings and options.
Chrome's "omnibox" is Chrome's combined search and address bar, which runs all the way across the top of the windows. In IE, tabs by default are next to the search/address bar, so that browser leaves even more space for the webpage you're looking at.
Tabtastic:
Chrome also still sports excellent tab implementation. The distinctive angle-edged tabs are prominent at the top of the browser window, and you can drag them out to the desktop to create independent windows. You can pin a site up in the tab bar, and a corner X lets you remove a thumbnail from the most-visited tile view. To the right of these is a Recently Closed "dropdown" arrow, which actually pops up a clear list of closed tabs.

If you've synced Chrome on different computers (see below), the Apps section, and now the tabs, too, will be the same on all. Any apps you've added on a Chrome OS machine will also appear in the browser on any other computer you log into Chrome on, and vice versa. To remove an app, you drag it to the lower right of the window, where you can imagine a trash can icon.

How to Submit A Sitemap On Blogger

Introduction to Sitemap

A sitemap is simply a directory of all the pages existing on your site, like a table of contents showing the structure of your blog. Sitemaps help search engines crawl your site and index it properly. Search engines will crawl your site if you have a sitemap or not, but this makes the process easier and quicker for them.

Bloggers default XML sitemap only shows recent blog posts – which is about 26 posts. We want search engine spiders to know your blogs structure so that they can easily understand and index it.

How to create a sitemap for blogger

Creating a site map on Blogger is easy, simply add your blog name to the link below.

Blogger – Default URL
http://blogname.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

Blogger – Custom URL
http://blogname.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

A single sitemap file should not be exceed 50MB which is why we limit it to max results 500. You may need to edit this depending on how big your feed is. Now we’ve to tell search engines that this is your site map. To do this, we add it to your robots.txt file and submit it to Google Webmaster Tools.

add blogger sitemap to robots.txt file

Go to Blogger > Dashboard > Settings > Search Preferences and click edit the custom robots.txt file. Click enable and paste the following adding your blogname.

User-agent: *
Disallow: /search
Allow: /

Sitemap: http://blogname.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
The above section means that search engines can index your entire site (Allow: /) apart from your blogs search results (Disallow: /search) which is good because that would be considered duplicate pages.

adding site map to google webmaster tools

Now login to Google Webmaster Tools and select your blog. On the left click Crawl > Sitemaps > Add/Test Sitemap. You’ll see your blog name and a text input box, paste atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500, test for errors and submit.
submit-sitemap-to-google
Google will now start to crawl and index your site. You can check what pages have been indexed on Googles Webmaster Tools or by going to Google Search and typing “site:www.BLOG-URL.blogspot.com”, “site:BLOG-URL.blogspot.com”, “site:www.BLOG-URL.com” or “site:BLOG-URL.com”. To submit your sitemap to Bing, login to Bings Webmaster Tools, add your URL, verify ownership and then submit your site map. It may take a few days for your site to be indexed.

Have more than 500 posts?

If you have more than 500 posts on your blog, you simply submit another sitemap starting at post number 501 for the next 500 posts like so /atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=500and continue this depending on the amount of posts you have. So if I had over 1000 posts, my robots.text file would look like this and I would submit the three separate sitemaps to Googles Webmaster Tool.
User-agent: *
Disallow: /search
Allow: /

Sitemap: http://blogname.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
Sitemap:http://blogname.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=500
Sitemap:http://blogname.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1001&max-results=500

How to Resize Local disk C Partition size without Re-Installation Windows

Windows 7 has inbuilt functionality of extending or compressing the Size of all Local disks. However there is a limitation that you cannot Resize  the one containing the System files and windows. However if you want to Resize or change the Capacity of Local disk containing Windows , mostly Local disk C has windows .So , if you want to expand or shrink the size of that particular  local disk , there are two options available. First is Reinstalling windows 7 again and Changing Drive's Size while installing. However it may result in Data loss. Second method , the easiest and faster one is using a software "Easeus Partition Master".

This software is very much easy to use and you can change the local disk size in few minutes using it.It is very user friendly software and it helps in resizing Disk size without any data loss but make sure you must create a unallocated memory space by shrinking any disk using Disk management tool. If you are not aware of Disk management tool , It is available in Control panel or you can directly find it by searching "Disk management"or "Create and format hard disk partition"from the task menu

 [Disk management]

Alternatively this software allows you to merge two local disks together. For example if you local disk C size is 15GB and local disk E size is 50GB. Using this software you can easily merge the size of both the disks/drives and store them in destination Disk C.Thus after merging the Local Disk C size will now be 15 + 50 = 75GB .

Using this software is very much easy , as shown in the snapshot above various commands like resize ,copy ,merge etc are given on the left side of the screen. Choose merge if you want to increase the Disk size. It will automatically carry out couple of operations ,after that click on apply option at the top , next it would ask ask you to reboot your Pc , remember one of the final operation of its merging is still pending which is completed during rebooting . During reboot , there will be a black window that will complete the last operation of merging the Disk size and now your disks will be modified automatically. So the only thing you have to do is just merge the required the disks and it will easily Expand local disk C size.Just 2 0r 3 steps and you are done.

Benefits :
1. No need of reinstalling the Windows again , saving your time.
2. Data loss during reinstalling can be prevented.
3. User friendly interface.
4. Freeware (For Home Users/ However professional version is not freeware.)

You can Download EasyUs Partition Software from here.

Top 5 Free Antivirus Of 2013

Choose the Best Antivirus Software and Protect your Computer from threats:

Do you think you can heal a disease without medicines and proper diagnostics, Well No is the Answer to it. Similarly do you think your Computer will be Safe without an Antivirus?
An Antivirus is your Computer Life saver. It keeps your system clean by detecting and removing all unnecessary Viruses , malwares that can reach your PC mainly via 2 sources : a) Via Internet b) Data/File Transfer Through Pen Drives , CD's , Bluetooth .  If you often use Internet , a Good Antivirus is the First Software that must be installed on your PC . Visiting Spammy , Illegal  and Torrentz websites can bring the virus to machines resulting in slow down in processing of Computer, too much hanging while working , CPU and RAM usage increases too much.
A large number of Antivirus are available online both for MAC O.S X as well as Microsoft to save you from the threats. Most of the Antivirus are Paid  that means you have to purchase them in order to secure your PC.  Don't want to spend bucks on Antivirus , here are some of the free Antivirus programs available online to get rid of Malwares and Viruses.  I am Listing Top 5 Antivirus Freeware  Softwares  , I hope you will enjoy this article.

1. AVG :
avg Interface

I am using AVG antivirus since I am using PC and it deserves to be at the First Place. The main advantage of AVG is that it is very much light antivirus and helps in detection and removal of most of the threats. AVG was founded in 1991 for the purpose of saving people's PC from viruses and they offer many products as well as both free as well as premium version of Avg antivirus is available. I have also used AVG for Android mobile Phones to get rid of virus from mobile.

2. Microsoft Security Essentials:

MSE Interface

Microsoft, the Windows O.S. developer also provides Free Antivirus to protect your Windows PC. It is another good option if you are looking for free anti-virus , it is also small , User friendly interface , does not effects system's  performance and automatically updates itself to keep your system protected. P.S. : I have used MSE earlier and it worked absolutely fine .
# It is worth Trying and Recommended

3. Avast

Well Avast claims to protect  170368,681 active devices, that's a huge number.  Avast have three main Antivirus softwares i.e.  Avast  Free Antivirus , Pro Antivirus and Internet Security. It is available for Windows , MAC and android O.S. too I have tried Avast antivirus and it did best to detect and remove most of the threats.  It won't slow down your PC , so if you are looking for a free Anti-virus  Software you can also go for  Avast Free  and be secure.

4.Avira:

I haven't tried Avira personally but one of my friend uses Avira and gave a Positive feedback about the same.  It is another light one , completes scan in minutes  and detects and kill threats. One interesting thing I came to know about Avira is that it is capable of killing regsvr.exe  virus which can't be healed by Windows Essentials .  So AVIRA is another reliable Free Antivirus  solution  to get rid of Viruses , Trojans , hoaxes , worms etc.

5. Bitdefender Free Edition:

Bitdefender also offers Free version apart from premium one to personal users and it is available for Windows , MAC and mobile phones. It works like most of the above softwares  , scanning the viruses, removing  them  , scheduled  and immediate scanning  options are available in it. I have tried free version of Bitdefender and works perfect to heal the threats , that why included it in the Lists.
