Nokia Asha 300 Touch and Type Review

Nokia Asha series is becoming very much popular in market because of its vast multimedia features , stylish looks and most importantly they all are low and medium budget phones. In this post we will review Nokia Asha 300 mobile phone. Nokia Asha is a touch and type mobile phone and it runs on Series 40 Asha OS and it comes in two attractive colours and one of the important thing in this phone is its 5 megapixel Camera.The mobile set weighs 85 grams with 12.7mm thickness.

Nokia Asha 300 Features and Specifications :

1.Design build and looks : The phone has classic looks and it is available in two colors. The dimensions of phone is shown in the image below.The phone weighs just 85 grams , decent touchscreen .

2..Display screen : It has 2.4 inch LCD resistive touchscreen and 320 x 240 pixel resolution and 262k colours. Resistive screens are not as good as that of capacitive ones. However it has type option available for texting purpose.The display screen is almost similar to Nokia C2-03 mobile phone.

3. Operating System : This phone is running on Series 40 OS (Java based) and it has 1 Ghz CPU. 

128 Mb Ram and 256 Mb Rom.

Pros :

a. Availability of lots of apps.

b. Fast speed as a result of 1Ghz processor.

Cons :

No multitasking

4.Connectivity : This phone has 3G in it that can help you surf web at high speeds. No wifi is there in it , if you are looking for Wifi phones in the same price range you can try among these.

Price : Price of Asha 300 touch and type is around Rs 6500-7000. According to me price should have been low around 4000 -4500 bucks.

Review :

This phone from Nokia is a bit costly as several other phones with Wifi and multitasking features are available in the same  price range. Also resistive touchscreen is also not that much good as compared to smooth and responsive capacitive touchscreens . Instead of Series 40 , Nokia should have given symbian on this phone. However if you are a Nokia phones lover and don't wanna compromise with standards , you can choose this mobile phone
