Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Full Review
Design: Even though the body is made up if plastic material but that does not necessarily mean that it feels cheap. IT portrays the same design as seen in Galaxy Note 3. A leather finish on the back panel adds a premium feel. Also the plastic has been so carved and processed to provide a metallic appearance. This could be seen in ridged trimming on the side and solid build quality. Overall the build quality is really impressive without any doubt. The stylus also fits in just perfect with that click sound whenever you insert/remove it.
Screen: This is so far the best resolution screen by Samsung and the result is a better experience while reading or watching movies or anything. However this high end display does lead a burden on the processor. By far the display can compete with iPad or any other tab in the market.
Performance: Even though Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with two processors but the result is opposite to the expectation. The expectation of the device performing really smooth somehow gets nullified as you operate the tablet. To see the lag you don’t even need to use any high end app. Samsung TouchWiz UI itself shows a lag. SO you can get an idea of the lagging when multitasking or running a high end game or app. For a price of Rs. 50,000, this problem is definitely unacceptable.
Memory: Memory parts turns out to similar to the other tabs of the price segment. With 32GB internal memory, it provides with 26GB of user accessible memory and also provides option for microSD card upto 64GB.
Connectivity: Note 10.1 comes with all the basic connectivity option like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth including 3G sim card support.
Software: Samsung TouchWiz and multitasking features impresses the most when on a large screen device. Doing to tasks simultaneously becomes really handy and easy when you have a large screen device. iPad seems to get a disadvantage in these terms.

Though as usual Samsung packing up unnecessary apps with the software bundle which one hardly use is old unnecessary practice. You cannot remove them so you end up with useless apps taking up your RAM and memory.
Camera: 8MP rear snapper in Note 10.1 is improved version of its predecessor. Also this camera and iPad 4 camera lies on the same par on almost every aspect. However, each one has its own advantage. iPad 4 where is still holding the title of better focusing ability, Samsung retains the advantage of low-light shots with better flash.
Battery: Compared to iPad, Galaxy Note 10.1 falls behind. Till date no any tablet has been able to compete the backup time of an iPad. Galaxy Note 10.1 offers a nine hours of continuous video playback and around 8 hours of Wi-Fi browsing. Average usages patterns shows around 15 hours of battery life.
Bonus feature: Samsung Stylus coupled with air command is the special pack up Samsung has to offer. Something which may change your way of using the tablets. The S-Pen is remarkable and coupled with the Air Command, tasks like taking notes, draw sketches or anything else becomes really easy and also interesting.
Verdict: Samsung does provide a good package seeing the S-Pen with Air Command, Enahnced display and camera, but the price tag of Galaxy Note 10.1 marked at 49,990 Rs is the deal breaker. We could have provided you with a good to go suggestion if it had been priced at something around 36,000Rs. to 38,000Rs. We do expect a price fall and if it does fall in the category mentioned before, it will definitely be a good value for money product but at the moment it is overpriced.
